Story behind the character: Lilly is an
orphan, on the run from the orphanage. When she runs into Jonathan,
she helps him figure out the mystery of the missing chess pieces and
becomes a good friend of his.
Lilly: Hello!
Charity: Hello.
Lilly: So, what exactly are we supposed
to talk about?
Charity: Anything you like.
Lilly: Hmmmm..... That's a tough
decision. How about telling me something about myself that I didn't
know?
Charity: Something you didn't know? You
mean like, something behind the scenes, why I did something and so
forth?
Lilly: Yeah, like that!
Charity: Hmmm.... Did you know that
your name wasn't originally Lilly?
Lilly: It wasn't?
Charity: Nope. You were a character
that I created before I started writing The End of Chess. Your name
was Peggy, based off of Simon and Garfunkel's song, Peggy-O.
Lilly: Why did you change it?
Charity: ...You know, for the life of
me, I cannot remember! I think I just didn't want people to know that
you were based off of Peggy-O.
Lilly: That's so cool!
Charity: I thought so too.
Lilly: Is that all?
Charity: Huh? Oh, yeah, I suppose so.
Good day to you, Lilly.
Lilly: Good day!
