Story behind the character: Andrew
helps to begin the End of Chess with a chess game against his enemy,
Jonathan Dillis. He only appears in the first chapter, but he is an
important character to this story because he begins the loss of all
of Jonathan's chess pieces. Let's see what he has to say for himself.
Ah, here he comes now....
Me: “Well, what do you think? You're
the first one.”
Andrew: “I think I don't know why I
agreed to this.”
Me: “Aw, come on. You'll do fine.”
Andrew: “I know that! It's just this
whole thing is dumb. You know what, never mind. Find another
character to talk to, I'm leaving.”
Me: “Oh, no you are not!”
Andrew: “Oh yeah? Just try to make me
sit here and talk to you!”
Me: “Okay.”
Andrew: “...”
Me: *smiles*
Andrew: “I totally just fell right
into that, didn't I?”
Me: “Yep.”
Andrew: “You and Jonathan both like
to make me feel stupid. Why? What did I ever do to the two of you?”
Me: “Well, you did throw Jonathan's
queen out the window....”
Andrew: “Yeah, but that was after
Jonathan made me feel stupid! Geez.”
Me: “You should really work on that
temper of yours.”
Andrew: “It's not my fault! You made
me like this!”
Me: “You've got a point there....”
Andrew: “And that's another thing!
How come whenever I make a point, essentially you're the one who came
up with it, but if I do something stupid, I get all the blame? It's
not fair!”
Me: “Real life isn't fair.”
Andrew: “So? This isn't real life,
this is fiction!”
Me: “Yes, well, I suppose I was just
taking it all out on you guys. Besides, books aren't interesting
without a bit of troubles. Have you ever heard of a great book that
had no problems to overcome?”
Andrew: “This is definitely not a
great book.”
Me: “Granted, but you saying that is
like saying you're not a great character.”
Andrew: “...”
Me: *smiles*
Andrew: “Are we done here?”
Me: “Yes, I believe so. Thank you
Andrew, for coming all the way out here to talk with me.”
Andrew: “Not like I had any choice.”
Me: *laughs* No, Andrew, I suppose you
didn't. Goodbye.
Andrew: *slams door behind him*
This is brilliant! Keep it up, Noelle!
